Allods Online: Undaunted Expansion Coming Soon

Come October 11, players will be able to experience the new Allods Online Expansion, Undaunted!

In a recent press release, the developers have stated that the opening of Allods Online has been nicely streamlined, but players will also have access to the following additions:

Kingdom of Elements

Looking for some awesome loot drops? Of course you are. It's an MMO! Players at level 46 and higher will have access to this completely open-world PvP zone. Drops include: the Symbols of Glory, which will give experience points to the winning guilds and War Banners which allow you to freely harrass and kill anyone in an oppsing faction, even if their PvP flag is set to ‘off’.

Mausoleum of Sparks

The Mauseleum of Sparks is a group instance which players will be able to access a maxium of three times a week. But you better be ready for a challenge as the the Mausoleum contains waves of mobs and ten bosses to destroy. For an added element of challenge the Mausoleum will be timed and scored, with the best groups being rewarded with unique rewards.

The lore for the Mausoleum of Sparks is as follows:

Tep constructed the Mausoleum of Sparks as a laboratory. There, he conducted gruesome experiments on the souls he had entrapped, but eventually he grew tired of that game, and moved on to bigger, more infamous monstrosities.

The souls, however, remain to this day. The mysterious Director has uncovered this torture chamber and decided to use it as an arena to test the mettle of Sarnaut’s finest warriors. Those who travel there will face wave upon waves of enemies, and emerge triumphant, or be crushed beneath the onslaught of their foes.

As for the souls, they will be consumed by Tep’s ancient contraptions, and fuel adventurers with healing and haste and power ups, for few now care for the long fallen, especially when in the pursuit of their own glory.

City of Heroes Freedom Officially Here

The wait is over and the launch of City of Heroes Freedom™ is finally here! Freedom is the new model of play from NCsoft that offers both new and veteran players a whole new benchmark of access to content in the incredibly popular superhero MMO. 

Live today, the Freedom game model will allow every player to hit level 50 with for free, while still giving players the option to buy their ultimate and self-catered gaming experience how they choose. Giving players a head start in celebration of the new model is Issue 21: Convergence, ready for all players as soon as they log in. Issue 21: Convergence and City of Heroes Freedom includes a whole new zone, Incarnate Trial, new powers, new costumes and more. Also new to City of Heroes is the Monthly Signature Story Arcs as well as the Paragon Rewards Program.
